Possibly our favourite piece this year. Overpainted chest of drawers which has been dry scraped back to green and cream tones. Complimented by it’s original ceramic knobs
The cupboard was used in a school on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. Layers of paint and a mahogany scumble finish were dry scraped back to it’s original powder green paint
Through the areas of wear, you can see the heavy areas of touch. A true survivor in a throw away society!
Originally this sideboard would have been painted either a blue or green before being overpainted numerous times. It has now been dry scraped to it’s original paints which have left a rustic finish
The plinth is a later addition. Most commonly, the original would have suffered from rot due to the floor regularly being mopped
Painted in earthy tones of brown, yellow, orange and red. This layer has sat by heat for a number of years giving it a unique textured affect. Under this finish reveals a faux maple painted design
Unique and interesting varied keyhole design
In the chests later life, it has been used for storage in an industrial setting
Elm slab top sitting on four original splayed legs. Unusual in size due to its height. Commonly now used in country house bathrooms to store towels or linen
