Two over two design. Well proportioned, well built. The details in the lower apron, unusually flowing around either side suggest a more affluent family would have had this made. Looking at the timber, it is believed to have once been painted. Likely a cream with outer line work

Originally these drawers would have had a mahogany scumble. The telling sign being the red feet. This is the undercoat which was commonly used for this particular type of paintwork.
Now stripped, the timbers knotty appearance is full of of character and rustic charm. Contrasting the bulk, the original mahogany knobs add an extra element of originality and overall, the drawers have a feeling of home -
