Rustic pine chest of drawers
English and dating from c.1870
A pair of smaller drawers above two larger. Non invasive size, perfectly suitable for a multitude of spaces
Originally these drawers would have had a mahogany scumble. The telling sign being the red feet. This is the undercoat which was commonly used for this particular type of paintwork.
Now stripped, the timbers knotty appearance is full of of character and rustic charm. Contrasting the bulk, the original mahogany knobs add an extra element of originality and overall, the drawers have a feeling of home
