Foundry crucibles

From one of England’s industrial heartlands, Birmingham. Difficult to age but somewhere in the first half  of the 20th century. These were saved from the foundry’s riverbank during building works

Hugely decorative pots. An abundance of texture and colour. Fantastic table centre pieces

Some small losses around the rims and non structural hairline cracks as shown in the photographs

The two smaller crucibles are 33cm in height and 21cm in diameter. The larger crucible is 37cm in height and 22cm in diameter
