Victorian side table
French, dating from the latter 19th century
A form of fruitwood. Decorative frontage and a handy drawer to match. Brass capped feet were added many years ago to raise the table, possibly for seating.
An interesting element are the naturally bowed legs. Being French, there are plenty of non active and historic worm holes. The rear trim was particularly attractive, likely due to sitting against a damp wall, softening the timber
