Vintage still life oil on canvas
A vintage still life oil on canvas
Believed to be French in origin and dated 1967
A rather funky painting. A dark backdrop, two onions and what looks like a honeydew watermelon are the focus
Some scars which fail to detract from the painting. Most likely due to visitors excitement in never seeing a pair of onions and a melon work so effortlessly together before

Pair of large still life oil on canvas paintings
Pair of large still life oil on canvas paintings
English and from the final quarter of the 20th century
Rather incredible and subtly imposing in size. You could say almost gallery inspired, each becoming a feature in its space. The canvas sits in an ebonised frame, with the inner having a bold layer of gold leaf. Some very minor blemishes when searching.
The paintings have a great deal of detail, particular areas almost 3d. A dark backdrop contrasted by the vivid colours of the flowers
Highly decorative and packs a punch in terms of impact created
