Likely an estate made pieces Primarily pine with what is believed to be elm sides. Adaptions throughout its lifespan. The plinth has been changed and the cornice adapted, likely to fit into a particular space
The exterior frontage consists of a pair of panelled doors, one being slightly too close to heat for some unbeknown reason! The interior is fully shelved, plenty of space to hide the clutter

A centralised upper shelves cupboard above an unusual set of drawers. A deep storage area accessed via the pair of doors with an exterior of panelled inserts. Then there are a pair of small drawers and to finish, a large full width drawer to add even more storage
This cupboard would most definitely have been historically painted. Evident with the variety of pine used in its build and likely stripped when bare timber became more common in the 80s
Dinks, chips and bangs. With it’s French ancestry, it has had historic woodworm, primarily to the ‘roof’ panels and signs of repaired old rot due to being in a damper environment, commonly the working room of the residence

In the post war period, the cupboard was used in a cellar for storage which aided in its unique finish. One replacement knob of the same period
