Multi plank top on a base with tapered legs. Some wear and patination throughout the table. Extremely well built, rather heavy and will last a lifetime. The legs can be removed, aiding in transportation and access to property
A form of fruitwood. Decorative frontage and a handy drawer to match. Brass capped feet were added many years ago to raise the table, possibly for seating.
An interesting element are the naturally bowed legs. Being French, there are plenty of non active and historic worm holes. The rear trim was particularly attractive, likely due to sitting against a damp wall, softening the timber
Two over two design. Well proportioned, well built. The details in the lower apron, unusually flowing around either side suggest a more affluent family would have had this made. Looking at the timber, it is believed to have once been painted. Likely a cream with outer line work
